We also have a new solvent evaporator that saves time, bench space and money, the innovative and simple Centrifan PE personal solvent evaporator. This new green technology is a great companion to a rotorvap or replace fragile condensing glassware in your labs or classroom. The Centrifan PE is a simple device that uses a self-generating blow-down technology to evaporate samples without a vacuum pump within a closed system. Best of all, the samples are dried down within their sample containers (Scintillation vials, test tubes, centrifuge and micro centrifuge tubes).

The ExtraGene Mini Centrifuge is a wonderful unit for personal use in the lab and is ideal for quick spin downs and micro filtration. The Mini Centrifuge has an on/off switch on the side of the unit as well as a start / stop switch attached to the lid. The unit is supplied with two rotors, one for 6 1.5 and 2.0 mL microfuge tubes and one for 16 0.2 mL PCR tubes or 2 PCR tube strips. The centrifuge spins at 6,000 rpm and produces 2000 g. The ExtraGene mini centrifuge has a 2 year warranty.

The MyFuge 12 from Benchmark Scientific is a mini centrifuge that can run both microtubes and PCR tubes at the same time. This device has twice the capacity of a standard mini centrifuge.
The MyFuge 12 COMBI-Rotor allows you to run 12 microtubes and 4 PCR strips simultaneously. This larger rotor creates a centrifugal force of 2000 x g with a fixed RPM speed of 5500. The unit starts and stops with the closing and opening of the lid and at only 5.5 inches wide and 4.5 inches tall the MyFuge 12 also saves your valuable bench top space. The MyFuge 12 comes with a 2 year warranty.

The Micro 6 mini centrifuge is a very high quality mini centrifuge from Hanil, the same manufacture of our high end range of benchtop and floor centrifuges. Hanil has over 50 years experience making high end centrifuges. The Micro 6 uses a brushless DC (BLDC) motor for extreme reliability. Simply close lid to start, in Spin Down mode the Micro 6 mini centrifuge will run for 15 seconds, in continuous mode it will run for 15 minutes. The Centrifan PE personal solvent evaporator by KD Scientific is a new product to assist in the evaporation of solvents from your samples. The Centrifan PE works on an entirely new principal for solvent dry down. Utilizing centrifugal force to stabilize the samples while using that same rotational force to generate an effective and recycled blow-down without the use of a vacuum pump. By using this novel recirculating evaporation technique, the Centrifan offers several advantages:
