Cold Light Sources and UV

Cold light sources offer advantages to the cost and environmentally-concious laboratory, promising long lamp life and low energy consumption with less maintenance. The KL Series offers a fiber optic cold light source by directing visible light without any unwanted infra-red energy, reducing the trade-off between being able to see the subject and being able to keep it alive.

The Laboratory UV and Analysis Lamp series is used to determine the luminescence of UV radiation created by disturbances in the crystal lattice, identify synthetic/composite gems and genuine or formed pearls. The UV series includes lamps with special filters for long and short wave light. The LED series of Analysis Lamps are battery operated with either one or three white light LEDs. Typical applications include testing fluorescent banknotes, debit/credit cards, passports, etc.
