2D and 3D Platforms

The BenchBlotter is a 2-dimensional rocker that offers a sizeable work space while at the same maintaining a compact footprint and a low profile design.

It has an optional dual platform and the rocker can be easily transported from the lab bench to either a cold room or an incubator. Lightweight and easy to carry, the large load capacity (7 lbs.) as well as optional dimpled mat for centrifuge tubes and multiple platform tie-down points, make the BenchBlotter suitable for a wide variety of general purpose applications.

The BioMixer™ and MiniMixer™ are platform shakers that provide a 3-dimensional “nutating” motion for moderately aggressive mixing. These devices can handle loads up to 2kg and both have maintenance free brushless motors. The two different platform sizes and rubber mat configurations of the devices allow for thorough foam-free mixing in blood tubes, centrifuge tubes and flat vessels as well.

Both models are equipped with autoclavable dimpled mats for tubes. There are also flat mats available for mixing other vessel types. For stacking purposes, stacking platforms can also be purchased. These platforms can effectively double the usable surface area of each model. Even the smallest single platform configuration has 24% more platform work surface than most of the conventional nutating mixers.

The BlotBoy™ and Mini BlotBoy™ provide perfect 3-dimensional motion for all blot related applications. Tilt angle and speed of these devices have been optimally set for gentle but thorough mixing in gel trays, boxes and other flat vessels. These devices come with autoclavable flat mats and are ideal for applications such as blot washes and gel staining/ destaining. Both models were designed to conserve bench space.

The BlotBoy™ is supplied with a 12 x 12 inch platform while the Mini BlotBoy™ is supplied with a 10.5 x 7.5 inch platform. With maintenance free brushless motors, both platforms expand useable work surface by up to 80% and can handle loads up to 2 kg in weight.

The BenchRocker 2D and 3D rockers are designed to provide the precise speeds and tilt angles required for a broad range of molecular and biological mixing applications. Both parameters can be adjusted to match the vessel size as well as the volume of liquid being mixed. These yield optimum result, with rocking speed and tilt angle easily adjustable in just seconds.

The BenchRocker 2D is equipped with a “see-saw” motion while the BenchRocker 3D is equipped with “gyratory” motion. Operating at a low speed and adjusted at a minimal tilt angle, both models provide a gentle wave effect for non-foaming mixing. When set to higher speeds and more extreme tilt angles, aggressive agitation is produced for samples that require vigorous mixing. Both rockers are autoclavable and accept stackable platforms with clearance equal to 2.75 inches.
