Trimipramine is a tricyclic antidepressant prescribed for treatment of depression, insomnia, and chronic pain or as an adjunctive therapy for alcohol or opioid withdrawal. Trimipramine is marketed under the trade names Surmontil, Rhotrimine, and Stangyl.
