Information
Temazepam, available under the brand names Restoril and Normison, is a benzodiazepine indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia. It may be prescribed off-label for the treatment of panic disorders and severe anxiety for short periods of time, usually 7-10 days. Temazepam is also a major metabolite of another benzodiazepine, Diazepam, and presence should be carefully considered alongside patient history to determine the source.
