Scientech designs it's Zeta series balances to be the toughest most durable balances available and back it up with a 5 year warranty. To demonstrate the durability of these balances we have a video of us dropping a 2 kg weight on a 200 g analytical balance with no damage to the balance or loss of calibration.
To select the correct balance for your needs, choose the resolution that you need, then estimate the heaviest mass you want to weigh. Select a capacity that is higher than your required mass. Remember, increased resolution is expensive, higher capacity is cheaper. In some resolution categories you will also see different series of balances, these offer different options such as internal calibration, battery backup, etc.
